Why is Condemned 2: Bloodshot so bad?

I have played Condemned 1 & 2 and I absolutely love them. I am reading everywhere that people loved the first game and absolutely HATED the second. Why do people think the second game is so terrible? They say there is a hole in the story? But I have played through the game multiple times and I don't really understand where the hole is. I for one think the second game is by far the best since they changed Ethan's appearance. The first one didn't look the greatest. I am also hearing that Condemned 3 will be released sometime this year? If anyone can confirm that with a RELIABLE source would be great. Thanks guys.
