I hate taking pills? please help?

Ok so I have gotten a fever and I have to take medicine in pill form and idk if there is a liquid form of it and I always hated taking medicine in pill form and I gotta keep taking these pills (that taste horrible) for a couple of days I believe. I tried mashing them up and putting them in my food but I can still taste the pills and it tastes horrible. I also tried just taking it as a normal pill but i can NEVER swallow it. Can anyone tell me what I can do?!?!?!
