Someone tell me if Im wrong here?

Okay so my mom doesn't have a job and goes out all the time with her friends at night. I have a job and go out sometimes but I'm 16 and my mom is 44. Well anyways she comes home at three in the morning and asks if she can have $5 to go play slot machines. I tell her no because I think it's a waste of money, but I told her I would pay for something else she might want, just not that. She flips out on me saying that that is just wrong, and I'm so heartless, and starts rambling on about how much she does for me; like drive me around because I don't have a license yet. I still told her no but I was just wondering if I was in the wrong?
