What would be a good major for wanting to specialize in Emergency Medicine?

Take your obstacles one at a time. First you have a long way to go before you graduate from High School. Take all the chemistry, sciences and math classes you can get, and work hard to pull down good grades. That means sacrifice on your part, but you're not being asked to do anything that a million doctors before you have been asked. In college, you'll take a Pre-Med course, and your college counselor will help you with that. Again, study and work hard, do ALL your homework, and you'll graduate at or near the top of your class. (Believe it or not, graduating in the top 10 really isn't all that hard. I did, and I'm actually kind of lazy.) Next, you'll have to get into a Medical School. Again, your college counselor should help you there. After you get in Medical School, be prepared to work your @$$ off, and get the best grades possible. Next, to work in ER, you're going to have to become either a Surgeon or a Cardiologist. Those are the two specialties most in demand in ER, because MOST life-threatening emergencies are either surgical or cardiac in nature. After that, congratulations! You're a new ER surgeon, and your education REALLY begins.
